14 weeks pregnant, or 12 weeks after conception: the end of the first trimester

14 weeks marks the start of the second trimester. Your baby is about 90 millimetres long and weighs roughly 45 grams. Their face has become more expressive, their eyebrows are now visible and baby's inner ear has formed. The fetus is still gaining mobility which means that at this stage, your little one is capable of sucking their thumb.
Boy or Girl? The genitals are now fully developed making it possible to find out the sex of your baby during an ultrasound, if you so wish and if the baby is well-positioned to help the ultrasound technician.
