30 weeks pregnant, or 28 weeks after conception: eyes wide open

Your little one now weighs about 1.2 kg and measures roughly 35 cm. At this stage, your baby opens their eyes often. Although their eyesight is not yet well developed, they can see 20 to 30 cm in front of them. The hairier ones are starting to have a nice head of hair.
The brain structures are strengthening and continuing to develop. This development will continue during the first few years of life and include skills like learning to walk, talk and potty train.
