10 weeks pregnant, or 8 weeks after conception: hearing baby's heartbeat

At the 10th week of pregnancy, or 8 weeks after conception, the embryo's head is now rounder, and the ears, although still low set, resemble ours. The eyelids protect the eyes, which are still forming.
The heart, beating at between 130 and 160 beats per minute, can now be heard using a Doppler device.
